Privacy policy

BatteryGuru (Al Quoz Industrial 4, Dubai, UAE) collects only the personal information required to deliver a doorstep battery replacement service: your name, phone number, email (optional), vehicle details, and delivery location.

What we collect

• Contact details: name, phone, email.
• Vehicle details: brand, model, year, variant.
• Delivery details: emirate and area.
• Payment details: processed by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers.
• Anonymous analytics: page views, click events, traffic sources (only with your consent — see below).

How we use it

• To dispatch a technician to your location.
• To process payment and issue your warranty card.
• To follow up on service quality.
• To improve site performance and search.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share order details with the assigned technician and our payment processor (both bound by confidentiality), and we share hashed identifiers with advertising partners as described in the next section.

Advertising partners and audience matching

To reduce wasted ad spend and serve more relevant ads, we share limited customer data with the following advertising platforms:

• Google (Google Ads Customer Match)
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram Custom Audiences, when configured)
• TikTok (Custom Audiences, when configured)

What we share: Email addresses and phone numbers from our customer database, after they have been transformed using SHA-256 cryptographic hashing. Hashing converts your data into an irreversible string of characters before it ever leaves our systems. The advertising platform cannot read your original email or phone number from a hashed value — it can only check whether the hashed value matches one already in its system.

Why we share it: To exclude existing customers from acquisition campaigns (so we do not pay to advertise to people who already use BatteryGuru), to show retention reminders to existing customers, and to help advertising platforms find new customers who share characteristics with our existing ones.

Your right to opt out: You can request removal from these advertising audiences at any time by emailing [email protected]. You can also opt out of personalized advertising directly with each platform via Google Ads Settings, Meta Ads Settings, and TikTok Ads Settings.

Customers registered on the UAE TDRA Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) are excluded from outbound marketing channels (SMS, phone calls). Hashed-identifier advertising matching is not an outbound channel and is not governed by DNCR.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

We classify cookies into three categories. Functional cookies are essential for the site to work and are always on. Analytics and Advertising cookies are off by default — they only load if you accept them via the banner shown on your first visit.
